ROSA PARKS

In 1955, one black woman refused to give her seat to a white man on a bus. The woman was immediately put in prison. Her name was Rosa Parks...

Rosa lived in Montgomery in the southern state of Alabama, USA. She was a respected member of the black community. She worked as a seamstress in a depertment store and took the bus to work every day. Because she was black, she had to sit in a separate section at the back of the bus.

LES MISÉRABLES

An innocent man, Jean Valljean (Hugh Jackman), escapes from prison and wants to start a nre life. But Police Inspector Javert (Russell Crowe) is looking for him. Anne Hathaway also stars in the film as FAntine. And the best thing is... she's a fantastic singer!

Her new album is doing well too. Alicia says she wants it to inspire her female fans. You might know the songs "Girl on Fire" and Brand New Me". Do they inspire you?

BRUNO MARS

2012 was busy year from Bruno Mars. The singer from Hawaii became an international star and played concerts around the world. Brunso released his first album, Doo-Wops & Hooligans in 2010. Bruno is a talented musician: he grew up in a musical family and plays drums, guitar, heyboard, bass, piano and harmonica. HIs second album, Unorthdox Jukebox, is sure to be a hit!

GANGNAM STYLE

"K-pop" is short for "Korean pop music". K-pop stars dance and sing catchy songs, in Korean and in English. The industry is controlled by talent agencies which teach teenagers music, choreograhpy and English. This makes them into stars. A lot of K-pop singers have plastic surgery on their eyes which gives them a manga look. But none of them look, sing or dance like Psy!

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is a theme park based on the Harry Potter films. It opened in 2010 and is great fun. As you walk around, you see Hogwarts school, Hosmeade village and people dressed in wizard clothes... it's just like in the films!

IN TIME

I magine a future where you pay fot things with time, not money. That's what happens in this action-thriller. To live beyond the age of 25, people must work to earn time. A poor man, Will Salas (Justin Timberlake), is accused of murdering a rich man to steal his time. Can Will escape from the police?

We went relaxing at home, and then we went for a walk. At night we went to the bowling, it was fantastic!
